All the above answers are favor to the employer and not to us (employee).
Can any of you help by posting some ideas (for changing the employer before 180 with the approved i140 and EAD cards) in favor of the employee bcz i am really very sad about my situation. plz help brothers !!

My humble request to all please act responsibly.
Do not edit somebody elses data.
Do not add/delete/modify any column.
Do not sort the data. If you really feel the urge, import it to your local computer and then sort it.
I will sort the data according to PD periodically.
You can add your own row at the end . Also please please do not sort the data.

It would be interesting to know the "process" used to legalize the illegals. If getting a GC when you're illegal is easy, I'd tear my H1 and stand in the USCIS illegal line.

Your case is a lil different than mine cause you did your I140 first, got online receipt that was sent with your 485. I am assuming one week later, when you had your PERM hard copy, you sent that along with other docs for your I140. I think you will be fine. You did everything right for the I140 and 485 is dependent on 140.
Me though...my lawyer sent both 140/485 together in the mail, nothing done online. and no perm hard copy was included..just the online approval ETA form, signed by me/employer, along with screen shot af DOLETA approval.
I will definitely keep you updated. I think mine will take longer than most cause on top of everything my file was sent to nebraska instead of texas....so it had/needs to be transfered to texas (NY employer).
Keep updating and if you hear about others (i'm trying to stay in touch with others in similar position), let me know...

This question put me to shame. We are trying to become US citizens and we do not even know Havaii is a US state.
Before posting this did you even think that the ship may be crossing international waters and US immigration laws may not hold good in that region? Were you not too quick to judge one's competency?

Is that all he said? I wonder why he did not say they should be screened for their skin color, their Shakespearean English and BTW all the applications of legal residents and naturalized Citizens here who are non Europeans ought to be revisited to ensure they fit the new criteria. Perhaps actually saying that would have been too politically incorrect.
This guy is unbelievably anti-immigrant. Even many anti-immigrants feel he is too far to their right on this issue. Him in the house and Sen. Jeff Sessions in the Senate cannot be changed. The real irony of it all to me is that the ancestors of many of the Mexicans (albeit illegal) immigrants crossing the southern border are indigenous people of the Americas (the new world) like Mayans and Aztecs (atleast in part). I found that EADs from NSC are being issued for filers until Aug13, as of now. I guess the processing time is like a week and half of the week, for every day. So you could be getting in 3 weeks.

My I-140 was approved 2 yrs back. I have more time on H1 like ..2 more yrs.
I'm planning to use my EAD or do H1 transfer. So far I have good relations with my employer.If I speak to my employer about my plans will he be able to hurt my case like thru I140 or any otherway?
After I switch jobs will I be able to go back to my old employer if I would want to .
Appreciate it if you can help me on this.

All you have to do is be ready with your new offer letter and maintain the labor wages in your new employment. You can peacefully go ahead and change your employment.

No need to be scared of CIR. Even CIR is passed in current form US will reward right people those who are ready to take challenges. Make note of people who came for study in 1970 to 1995 How did they survive and overcome lot of issues. Those who want to get greencard on arrival has to forget and pack the bags. Those who has patience and work hard will get all including gc. There is always a way.

send faxes to congress /house...it is in the house where bills get structured.
make sure u add only the SKIL bill...just remove cap for ppl with advanced us degrees...that was the only thing the house had agreed to consider
but everyone on this forum ignored me

it aint rocket science guys....think about it from the lawmakers point of view....would they allow for more immigration frindly reforms now....no way...so be ready to compromise and suggest the ones which are truly benefecial to the US economy....
the bottom line was always...borders secure first..then talk about immigration reforms....
for the coming seasons....we have to push for nothing but the SKIL bill

For a long time, I have had this urge to be self employed but personal reasons and the immigration system was a deterrent factor for me in turning this into a reality. Now that I have an EAD, I would like to reexplore this idea and wanted to know if there are any entrepreneurial organizations that I could become a member of that will help me network with like minded people. I have heard of TiE and am getting to know more about this organization. If any of you are members, feedback on how it has helped you will help a lot of people planning to join. Are there any other clubs/orgs that help people like me can bounce ideas off of and help bring together like minded people under the same roof?

PS: I had plans of pursuing an MBA for the sole purpose of networking. Unfortunately, this is not something I can do at this point of time.
Why dont we start an entrepreneur thread here on IV. I know it does not go in line with IV's goals, I can set up a forum real quick and we can get a group going there.

Freedom1 - I received similar message and since I moved, I have not got any notice from USCIS. How long did it take for you to get the notice? Did the notice tell to complete any formalities at your local USCIS office?
